Join the fun at Watertown’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! Every March, Downtown Watertown comes alive with fun, family-friendly festivities, community spirit, and a splash of Irish luck. This beloved tradition brings together locals and visitors alike for a day full of events, entertainment, and celebration for all ages.
Saturday, March 14, 2026, Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the heart of Watertown with a lively lineup of activities that will have you decked out in green and full of cheer. From races and parades to contests and pancakes, there’s something for everyone!
Lucky MIx 2026 Raffle Buttons
Each year the Chamber sells themed raffle buttons for your chance to win exciting prizes! Purchase a Lucky Mix 2026 button for $5 or 5/$20 for your chance to win the Grand Prize: $500 Watertown Bucks! With great member support from our Shamrock Sponsors, there are over 30 additional consolation prizes!
Raffle buttons are available at the Watertown Chamber office (1 East Kemp Ave), Colliers Securities (119 5th St NE), Dempsey’s Pub (127 N Broadway), Discount Liquors (125 9th Ave SE) and Prairie Lakes Wellness Center ( 1515 15th St NE).
Button drawings will be held on March 17th at the Watertown Shamrocks vs. Aberdeen Wings hockey game during the second intermission. Buttons will be available for purchase during this game.

Three sponsorship levels are available for member businesses and organizations to support the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Be a Pot O’ Gold Sponsor for $500, a Leprechaun Sponsor for $250, or a Shamrock Sponsor – provide a door prize!
March of the Shamrocks
Represent your business in the March of the Shamrocks. Each year participating businesses decorate a foam shamrock (generously created for us by Benchmark Foam) in hopes of being voted the year’s best in a Facebook “likes” contest. This contest is free to Chamber Member businesses. Reserve your shamrock by emailing the Chamber at coc@watertownsd.com.
Run for the Gold 5K
Start the day energized with the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center St. Patrick’s themed Run for the Gold 5K! Registration opens early, and participants receive a race T-shirt and medal. The race begins downtown with a route through the community.
Run registration begins at 9:00am at Dempsey’s Pub (127 N Broadway). 5K begins at 10:00am snow, rain, or shine! Pre-register at Prairie Lakes Wellness Center.
PancakeS & Little MIss Shamrock & Mr. Leprechaun
Fuel up with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall (219 1st Ave SE). All are welcome!
Bring the kids to compete to be crowned Little Miss Shamrock and Mr. Leprechaun! Children of all ages may participate in the Contest. Winners are selected by the luck of the draw and receive a crown, sash, and a ride in the parade! There is no registration or fee, simply be present when the drawing occurs. Be sure to wear green!
Enjoy live music as part of the celebration starting at 10:30am with the crowning ceremony starting at 11:00am.
St. Patrick’s Parade
The highlight of the celebration — our annual parade! Decorated floats, marching groups, local organizations, and shamrocks galore wind through downtown, bringing the community together in a vibrant procession.
Line up begins at 11:30am at Immaculate Conception Church. Entries should line up facing WEST. The parade will continue West to 1st Street, to Kemp Avenue, and head East to Watertown Area Community Foundation Plaza. Entry is open to everyone! No registrations required, simply find a spot in line.
St. Patrick’s Day Pet Contest
The second Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pet Contest will be held following the parade at Happy Tails K-9 Training & Supply (208 E Kemp Ave). Dress your pet to impress for a chance to win prizes in these categories: Best Dressed, Best Trick, Best Behavior, and People’s Choice.
11th Annual Krushers Krawl
The eleventh annual Krushers Krawl will be held starting at 5:30pm at The Wobbly Penguin. Dress in your most festive green gear and “krawl” through Downtown Watertown. With activities at each stop, the good times are never ending! Participants must be 21+.
Volunteer with us!
Want to get out in the community, meet new people, and have a great time? We’re seeking volunteers to help us sell Lucky Mix 2026 raffle buttons and dress up as Lenny & Leona, our leprechauns! With several opportunities for a fun time, we plan button sales for events including the Watertown Winter Farm Show, Big Boy Toy Show, Watertown Home Show, throughout the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration and at the Watertown Shamrocks game.
